PG&E Joins Major California Employers Opposing Prop 23
Today, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), joined a long list of major California employers including eBay, Google and Applied Materials to oppose Prop. 23, the Dirty Energy Proposition.
“PG&E’s addition to a growing list of business leaders opposed to Prop 23, further confirms that this deceptive initiative, funded largely by Texas oil companies, is a threat to jobs and California’s clean energy economy said Warner Chabot, CEO of the California League of Conservation Voters.
“Many civic, labor and conservation leaders, including CLCV have already explained how Prop 23 will increase air pollution by repealing the health and safety codes that require polluters to report pollution levels. In addition Prop 23 is designed to keep California addicted to oil by killing clean energy competition."
"CLCV is grateful that these business leaders are opposing Prop 23 in order to maintain California’s leadership in developing clean energy."
